Current gain and current density essential to power AI today: Patrizio Vinciarelli interview
Patrizio Vinciarelli, CEO of Vicor shares insights on powering AI today and its extraordinary current demands and the need to easily scale
The ExaScaler/PEZY ZettaScaler-1.8 Super Computer pushes the limits in computing performance with a performance density of 1.5 PetaFLOPS/m. Powered by Vicor modules, the ZettaScaler leverages HV distribution and 48V Direct to CPU architecture. Vicor is proud to be part of such a high performance super computer and work with such an innovative company as ExaScaler/PEZY.
The Vicor power modules enable high efficiency and high density from 380V to the CPU in just a few highly integrated power modules. Vicor BCM modules convert 380V to 48V at each of its 24 Brick CPU clusters. Within each PEZY Brick CPU cluster, 48V is distributed to 32 PEZY-SCnp48 Module Cards. Each PEZY Module card uses a PRM and two VTMs for 48V Direct to CPU power.
